I had some successful image acquisitions over the weekend and I had them all to do today. I came in early Saturday morning to map the Day Fire (134,000 acre fire on the Los Padres NF in SoCal), then got here at 7:30 am this morning. I just finished mapping my 8th (!) fire today at 5 pm. Non stop mapping. I'm tired. The fires I mapped are:
- East Roaring (Boise NF)
- South Fork Complex (Payette NF)
- Red Mountain (Boise NF)
- Rattlesnake Complex (Boise NF)
- Boundary Complex (Salmon-Challis NF)
- Black Butte (Nez Perce NF)
- Ulm Peak (Idaho Panhandle NF)
- Pinnacles (San Bernardino NF)
Things should be slowing down considerably. The only thing that will burn now is Southern California. I can handle that. I've already done that in 2003.
