Back to the grind

I've returned from vacation to a flurry of fires. On the drive home (Oceanside, CA to Salt Lake City, UT on I-15), we passed the Summit Fire burning north of Cedar City. I watched two helicopters drop water and an air tanker pass overhead after a retardant drop. That fire was a little guy and won't get any postfire mapping attention.

However, there are a number of other fires burning throughout the West. My sights are now set on the Brins Fire (outside Sedona, AZ), and the Skates and Reserve Complex Fires in New Mexico. Both those fires were WFUs (wildland fire use) but blew up thanks to some nasty weather. They both are requesting BAER teams and imagery of the fires now. By the end of this week, I should have about 4-6 scenes rolling in to process and deliver.
